retain_state_information

Hello, sorry if I ask an asked question...   :)

I have problems with the retain_state_information, if I active this option
and shutdown Nagios, the file status.sav is created but without any
information into. Then when I starts Nagios, all services and hosts are
checked again without preserve the last states.

Any idea?
