Active checks and distributed monitoring

Hi,
I have 2 questions,
1) In my nagios installation (100 hosts, 1000 services) I noticed very
strength thing. Few hours after restart/reload nagios process the active
checks stop... They are scheduled but not done. I see scheduled list with
services which should by checked 2 days ago... Server time is good. I have
no idea what is the source of problem. I don't make any changes in config
files during nagios work.
2) I would like to use distributed monitoring on 100 hosts to local check
sql, http and some processes. But I'd like to check them with 2 minutes
interval, and send status with 60 minutes interval (i.e. after every 30
checks, of course if the state didn't change). It could by quite easy to
send non-ok status (notify interval). Could You advice me how to send ok
status in this way ?
Best regards
Lukasz
