NRPE 2.0 and SSL Handshake trouble

I am trying to implement NRPE for monitoring of Linux and Solaris hosts.

My monitoring box is a Linux RH9 box and my test box that is being
monitored is also a RH9 box.  

I have the daemon running on port 5666 and when I run the check_nrpe
command against the host running the daemon I get the error "could not
completes SSL handshake"

Looking at the FAQ for this I believe I am good according to the FAQ.
1.	Different versions - compiled both daemons and check command
from same download.
2.	SSL disabled - when compiling it says it is compiling with SSL
and generating keys on both daemon and check command.
3.	Incorrect file permissions - double checked and seems well.

So are there better docs on how to get this to work and trouble shoot
this?

Am I going down the right path for monitoring Linux and Solaris?
