Hi All,
Anyone help me out with a sample snmp check command. I cant seem to get mine
to return anything.
The system specs are as folows
Solaris 2.8
Nagios 1.2
Plugins 1.3.1
Net-SNMP 5.1
SNMP is working as if i do
snmpwalk -v 2c -c community name 10.10.10.10
I get info returned like the below.
iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.6.3.1.2.1 = STRING: "Active Ports"
I want to retrieve MS SQL Server info via SNMP and I have copied the
relevant MIB to my mib directory.
When i try a check_snmp command from the command line this is the out put i
get...
../libexec/check_snmp -H 10.10.10.10 -v 2 -o 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.4.1.1.8.1.2
-w 2 -c 5 -C communityname -p 161 -m ALL
/usr/local/bin/snmpget -t 1 -r 9 -m ALL -v 1 -c communityname
10.60.0.100:161 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.4.1.1.8.1.2
SNMP problem - No data recieved from host
CMD: /usr/local/bin/snmpget -t 1 -r 9 -m ALL -v 1 -c romobitel
10.10.10.10:161 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.4.1.1.8.1.2
Any one see what im doing wrong as this is my first time using snmp.
Any help greatly recieved.
