This is what I thought too. Coz pointing it to a non-existing ip address,
you will get a request timed out all the way. I got your idea. Just how I
did it when I was checking the CPU of my XP using NRPE. I set warning to 1%
then critical to 3% just to check if the check_cpu nrpe plugin was really
working. :)
