Posting etiquette [and MODERATION REQUEST]

Consider this as a moderation response from a developer on the
nagios/nagios plugins projects.
Please stop.
FWIW, these lists have informally operated on a few simple policies:
1) Treat other list members with respect
2) Advertising and social commentary is not wanted
3) Generally follow RFC 1855
In following RFC 1855, I personally am concerned about the usability of
the archive, which means:
- Please try and use text instead of HTML
- Don't hijack threads
Please note, however, that I placed RFC 1855 at the last on the list.
If other developers on the various Nagios projects wish to establish a
formal set of netiquette guidelines, I'm willing to do that off-list.
Until such time, I'd like to suggest that people refer to the above
statements.
