Slow web interface update

Hi,

I am tring to move my nagios 1.1 from one machine to another, i have 
started from a "scrath" nagios install, and created new config files,

The nagios web interface on the new machine is being updated very slow, 
for example, in a passive service check, i get the alert immediatly, but 
the web interface is not updated for several minutes, this is not 
happening on the old nagios machine, i compated the cfg files, and found 
no difference,

on the original machine, the web is updated very quickly.

Any idea what could cause this ?
