Mine can check on multiple things at once. If I look at the process
list in the command line I can sometimes see nagios pinging a few hosts
at the same time.

Am I correct that nagios doesn't implement queueing system when doing
the
checks? What I mean here is that, nagios can check different machines or
services at the same time (parallelized).
