"Caught SIGSEGV, shutting down..." under Fedor a 1

I had encountered this error recently, and after trying the suggested
solutions that are mentioned in previous postings to this mailing list
without success, I decided to rename all the old configuration files, and do
a "make install-config" from the nagios source directory, and use those. 
The probelm went away, and all was fine.

If this cures your problem, as it did mine, you can then think about copying
the contents of the corrupt config files back over to the new config files.

Hello,

  I have built Nagios 1.1 undef Fedora 1, with no error, but at runtime, it aborts immediately with the message :

"Caught SIGSEGV, shutting down..."

The same configuration (compilation options and .cfg files) runs since 
several months under RedHat with no problem.
(in particular, I use MySql databases for all the data).

Has anyone else seen this problem ?
