Ummmm, I hope you made a thinko there. Pngtogd2 converts png images,
not gifs.
From fallible memory, I think I read somebody say that chunk size should
be a power of two. From painful experience, I know that you should convert
using the same version of GD that is on your Nagios server. The gd2
file format can change incompatibly between versions and if you generate
a gd2 image with one version and try to display it using a different
version (particularly an older version) it can't handle it.
