multiple IP

Sorry for repeating the question.
But how to addressing with multiple IP addresses hosts?

So, I have an host with 2 interfaces and 2 IP addresses. How to monitor 
that host?
Also, I have 2 hosts with the same host name in the DNS (for high 
availability) and different IP addresses. How to resolve this?
