Nevermind, this works:
define command{
command_name check_nt_smtp_queue
command_line $USER1$/check_nt -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 1248 -v
COUNTER -l "\\SMTP Server(_Total)\\Remote Queue Length","%.f" -w $ARG1$
-c $ARG2$
}
hope this helps someone else :)

Subject: [Nagios-users] NT Mail Counter for the Queue/Spool Dir Filling
up
Is there a way to have nagios poll a NT box and alarm when a directory
has a large number of files in it? Such as the case with mail queues.
I was trying to find a way to do this with check_nt and nsclient, but it
seems only good for getting the total diskspace, rather then the file
count in a certain directory.
