Indeed. So he needs to alter the invocation parameters (which I

No. It says it can't find the configuration file.

Since he's trying to run it from inetd, he'd have to stop and then start
the inetd daemon, not the nrpe daemon.
Jan, please don't give false answers. Say "I don't know" when you don't.
It actually helps more than doing what you just did.
