I do similar size stuff.

~2Ghz with 512MB should be plenty. My 2Ghz Athlon is eating load like
this for breakfast. 

What do you think it'll scale to? - and also - what other services do
you expect to run on it? 

You don't need much. Unless you do lots of snmp work with something like
cricket side by side.
