Strange...
It is working for me (and i have SNMP OK - up(1) in the Nagios
Webinterface).
check_snmp (nagios-plugins 1.4.0alpha1) 1.36
Nagios 1.2
But even with the 1.3 Plugin i have the same output (SNMP OK- up(1))
Maybe you have a bad MIB? I uses

I don't understand that :-) everytime see state get's checked it says
SNMP OK - up(1)
