Hi,
I've follow Online Documentation about SNMPtrap integration in nagios
but, when HPOV is sending a test trap, my snmptrapd recevied this
message in log:
Oct 29 11:10:55 is1bin01 snmptrapd[16650]: 10.0.0.50: Enterprise
Specific Trap (2) Uptime: 127, SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.2
= STRING: "SMAJ01JFK352V", SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.3 =
INTEGER: 2, SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.6 = STRING:
"Management Appliance", SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.7 =
STRING: "hp OpenView storage management appliance",
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.8 = STRING:
"http://SMAJ01JFK352V:2301/"
I've try to set snmptrapd to handle like this:
traphandle SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.2
/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/eventhandlers/handle-san-snmptrap 2
traphandle SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.7
/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/eventhandlers/handle-san-snmptrap 7
traphandle .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.232.151.101.100.2
/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/eventhandlers/handle-san-snmptrap 7
traphandle default
/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/eventhandlers/handle-san-snmptrap 7
Only this last line work. I can get lines from snmptrapd into
handle-san-snmptrap script like this:
10.0.0.50
10.0.0.50
SNMPv2-MIB::sysUpTime.0 127:4:54:09.69
SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.0.2
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.2 "SMAJ01JFK352V"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.3 2
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.6 "Management Appliance"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.7 "hp OpenView storage
management appliance"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101.100.8 "http://SMAJ01JFK352V:2301/"
SNMP-COMMUNITY-MIB::snmpTrapAddress.0 10.0.0.50
SNMP-COMMUNITY-MIB::snmpTrapCommunity.0 "public"
SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapEnterprise.0 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.232.151.101
__END__
Why snmptrapd can't handle traps by theirs OIDs ?
Regards,
