1.4 plugins on Solaris 10

Greetings,
I posted this yesterday on the plugin-help list, and didn't see any responses. This list seems a bit more active based on post count, and I see similar issues discussed here.

The only change I can report is that some of the check_* work from the nagios-plugins-1.4/plugins directory even if they didn't make;make install correctly. There are enough that I can copy them into /usr/local/nagios/libexec, I think and at least get things running.
I am limited in server space, so I have not yet tried installing 1.2 and upgrading, but thats on my plate for today, if I can scrounge up a "free" box :)
I've been periodically googling, and reading up, but haven't found anything that points me in the right direction.
Any and all thoughts are appreciated. Thank you for your valuable time.
