Nagios with MySQL

Hi guys,

I have one question about Nagios:

Can I install Nagios with database sql (MySQL)? I'm usinng a FreeBSD 
server, and the nagios ports dont say anything about installing Nagios 
with MySQL. I saw the documentation and dont find nothing.

Someone know if it's possible? (nagios 1.x or 2.x).
