how to rotate performance log files?

Hi,

(Nagios 1.3 on RedHat ES 3)

I have host and service performance logging enabled in nagios.cfg:

xpdfile_host_perfdata_file=/usr/local/nagios/var/hostperf.log
xpdfile_service_perfdata_file=/usr/local/nagios/var/serviceperf.log

I also have log file rotation enabled:

log_rotation_method=d

However log_rotation_method  only applies to nagios.log.   Should I set up
logrotate to move the files out and then HUP nagios at midnight?   or is
there a better way to do it?
