Monitoring HP ProLiant Linux servers -- Nagios vs. OVO vs. SIM

Hi,

We're using Nagios + Insight Manager. Works fine for us.

We use Nagios as our main monitoring Platform, and have integrated the
HP Insight Manager into the Nagios. The Plugin we're using is based on
snmp queries to get the status of the local insight manager client, and
reports them to the nagios. When it detects an error, the status in
nagios changes, we get a little Status info like "SCSI degraded" or
something, and we connect to the insight manager and have a further
look. All the other stuff like monitoring disk space, processes, memory,
some handwritten stuff is beeing checked by nagios plugins.
I think the HP Insight Manager is very good to monitor all the Hardware
Issues, but Nagios is much more flexible with other checks.
