check_disk_smb error: Result from smbclient not suitable

I'm trying to use the check_disk_smb plugin to check disk space on
windows servers. via the command line it works fine, returns the info.

When the plugin is configured, nagios reports the following error:
Result from smbclient not suitable

Any thoughts as to where to start to look to fix this?
