No. rrdtool relies on input with regular intervals, which nagios doesn't 
provide. I believe the perfparse support can (and should) be extended to 
calculate average timings and insert into rrd databases.

They probably don't. google for perfparse. At least it has some active 
development and allegedly requires very little in the way of configuration.
