check_snmp and SNMPv2

 Hello,

 I'm using check_snmp (nagios-plugins 1.3.1) 1.24.2.2 and need to use 
password authentication of SNMPv2. The documentation about this version 
of check_snmp says that it works with versions 1 and 3 of SNMP.
 Is there a way i can work with check_snmp and SNMPv2?
