Why not? Nagios can be used to monitor just about anything you can think
of as long as it can be done from a script and has a condition where it
becomes not OK. I'm monitoring and alerting on the imminent expiration
of domain names we host for example. Sometimes it takes a bit logic and
scripting but it's amazing what you can monitor with Nagios.

Sai, search the archives and/or google. There was a discussion about a
month ago I believe on monitoring raids. This google link might help as

Trevor is right in that checking it via SNMP is going to be the easiest
if your vendor supplies SNMP MIBs. If you could provide us with your
nagios version, plugins version, information on the raid card and the OS
it's running under perhaps someone on the list has already done it.
Otherwise, tell us how you would know that it as 'bad' and perhaps we
can give you pointers on what you need to do.
