problem with freewrl

hi ,
i have got freewrl for viewing ed status map,
but nothing is shown ,just this message 
' (loading...) 1.66 fps EXAMINE(?help) ' is shown,
what does it mean?
i have this problem on linux,in WinXP it works well.
