Installation Woes

I installed nagios with all the defaults, made sure all my cfg files
were happy, and every time I click on a link on the web, I get the
"Error: Could not read object configuration data!" page.

I ran the nagios -v nagios.cfg command and there were no errors found.
My nagios.log is empty.

Where am I going wrong?

Please help!
