I haven't played with check_disk so I'm not sure it does what you want it to do.
However, I've successfully implemented disk checks on Win2K, tru64 and Netapp with check_nt and check_snmp repectively.
What OS's are you trying to check?

Subject: [Nagios-users] checking disk space of remote hosts
Hi,
Just trying to figure out how the check_disk plugin works... it
doesn't seem to have a way to pass the remote hosts ip address from
the command line. Is there where NRPE is used? I can't find too much
documentation about it... where does one learn about nrpe (or how do i
check disk space on remote hosts?)
Thanks,
Cameron Matheson
