getting meaningful information from snmp

Hi guys,

I'm using the check_snmp plugin to get some information about various
systems on my network... but the stuff i'm getting is not very
helpful... for example, i need to be checking the context switches on
all my boxes, and the plugin works (it gets me the right information
from the MIB. Unfortunately, the data in the MIB is weird (i think
it's a counter value or something?). What i would like to see is the
snmp reporting back the same value as the information in vmstat. It
seems like Cacti and MRTG have a cool way of graphing this information
to make it more meaningful. Is there any way to do that w/ nagios?

thanks,
Cameron Matheson
