Sound an alarm

My bad I don't need help with the hardware side, my question is how do I
get nagios to sound the alarm connected to the serial interface or
whatever

find a relay with a serial interface attached to the alarm of your
choice....... i'll follow up with a parts list.
i think i did this when i was college.
