Subject: [Nagios-users] Log File
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this list and need a little bit of help. I was able to install Nagios 1.2 with the plugins, and was able to make it work. Now, the only thing is that Nagios is unable to create the status.log file in /var/spool/nagios/status.log.
I've checked and nagios has the right permissions to write in the folder. Proof is that it created a status.sav file automatically. Now, when I go on the interface and look at the status of the process, I get this error:
Check Command Output: Error: Cannot open status log for reading!
I can understand that it can't read it since it doesn't exist, but would anyone have a clue as to why it doesn't want to create it? Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
Stephen
