NSCA and Nagios

I've come to the same conclusion, but have not been able to determine the reason
for there to be a lack of a file.
My configuration indicates that Nagios should create a file system object there,
and the permissions allow an object to be created there. There is no entry in
the "var/nagios.log" to indicate that there was a failure. Nagios is running
and collecting data through its active monitors.
