nagios issue

Hi All,
	I compiled and installed nagios and its web-interface (nagios 2 + 
nagios-plugins-1.4). I had
no issues until I accessed the web-interface. After I enter my loginname 
and password ( as adminstrator)
I get this " Internal Server Error,  The server encountered an internal 
error or misconfiguration and
was unable to complete your request." When I checked nagios.cfg, I found 
cfg_file under
Object Configuration Files was commented for all the files ( such as 
hosts.cfg, hostgroups.cfg, etc)
except minimal.cfg. I created a new hosts.cfg and uncommented that line 
in nagios.cfg, but here
I cannot even start nagios..it just fails to start. I didn't do any 
configuration to nagios..but for the basic
things which included configuring apache and creating hosts.cfg. Can 
anyone tell me what can be the
problem..and how to overcome this.
