Nagios Updated a host but old host is still pinged

You'll need to restart nagios for changes to take effect, naturally.
Reboot the machine if it doesn't seem to take effect.

re-compile the same version of Nagios on the new host with the same
./configure options and copy the files. Make sure you create the proper
users and such on the target host so that permissions and such will work
properly.
