SMS alerts

Hi all,

We have been using Nagios for the past couple of months and it is working
great.

But due to requests from the management there has been a need to send
notifications via sms alerts. E-mail notifications are working fine as
well.

Well the problem with sms alerts is that currently none of the mobile
operators have a email to sms gateway.

I was going through some documentation and felt that Gnokii would be a
good solution for us. But the problem is that i have really not understood
the concept of it.
Is there any other option that could be suitable for us?
