good working GSM terminal to use with nagios?

hi roy,

we use the falcom samba usb gsm modem (http://www.falcom.de/?id=198 page
is in english)  together with smstools
(http://smstools.meinemullemaus.de page is in english ;)

the only problem is, that the samba device is not supported by any
kernel module (either 2.4/2.6)
i wrote an own module and will supply a patch for the mainstream kernel
ftdi_sio module s00n, so the modem can work right out of the box ;)
