are my checks orphaned?

Hello all,
Running the latest Dag RPMs on CentOS.
A couple times in the last month, I've had 1-2 service checks that
stop occuring. I see them "stuck" at the top of my Scheduling Queue,
with a "next check" that is in the past and not changing.
I've manually rescheduled the checks to the present time/date and they
start working again.
Is this a symptom of orphaned service checks? Anyone else seen this?
Did you fix it with check_for_orphaned_services=1 ?
Thanks,
Francois Caen
