NsClient vs. NRPE_nt

NSClient++ includes both NsClient and NRPE functionality. It listens on the NsClient port as well as on your NRPE port (so no change need to be made in nagios if you are already using one of these).
The nice thing is that instead of running two services (nsclient and nrpe) you only need to run one service. All your NRPE commands/plugins will work with NSClient++.
NSClient++ (or NRPE) will allow you to write local monitoring scripts, such as WMI scripts. This can be very useful if you are running nagios on a Linux box, as nagios on Linux cannot query WMI directly.
Hope that helps

Yes, tks.
But there are many plugins fot NRPE on
http://www.nagiosexchange.org/NRPE_Plugins.66.0.html
and I think that I could use them to do many controls.
But I could use also
NRPE with NSClient++ and I have for free many controls....
But,
What are the differences? Which is the best, more secure, more reliable, more performing way to monitor a win2000/2003 environment?

Try NSClient++ from
http://nscplus.medin.name/index.php/Main_Page
Depending on your needs and environment you might be able to use just this and not need nrpe_nt (from
http://www.miwi-dv.com/nrpent/
Cheers,

What is the best way to monitor a windows 2003 server (cpu, disk, memory, users, event log,....) with Nagios?
NsClient? What is the last version? Where I can find it?
or
NRPE_nt? What is the last version? Where I can find it?
Any idea?
