check_command issue

Hi,
You have to run the nrpe daemon on each server you want to monitor. For
NSCA, you have to use the send_nsca command with the nsc daemon running on
you nagios host.

Hi,
For this NSCA and NRPE to work, do I need to do something on the server
side or client (the machine which will be monitored through nagios)
side?
Regards,
Dash

Hi
Your are misinterpreting the way your checks work. Those
check_local_load, check_local_disk, check_local_xxx check are performed
on the *local* machine only. Thus you are seeing the results for your
Nagios server, not the host you supposed you were monitoring.
You can use NRPE and NSCA to work around this issue. Have a look at the
distributed monitoring stuff in the documentation.
Regards
