    Have a look at Extended Host Information 
(http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/2_0/xodtemplate.html#hostextinfo). 
Another nice option for visual status maps is NagVis 
(http://www.nagvis.org/); have a look at version 0.9, it's really easy 
to configure and nice to see :)
