Installing Nagios RPM

Try "rpm -q nagios".
I also often run "rpm -qa | grep -i nagios", when I can't remember the
rpm name.
Rpm is pretty useful. There is an RPM site
[1]http://www.rpm.org/
with lots of good info.

What am i doing wrong?

It gets installed the same way you install other rpms on the
system.
man rpm for assistance.
