Kannel monitoring plugin

Hello everyone,

I'd like to monitor a Kannel SMS Gateway via Nagios. Kannel exports
status information (sms sent and received, sms sending and receiving
rate, sms center availability) and a simple administrative interface via
HTTP.

I think I need a plugin for service monitoring and an eventhandler to
modify the gateway state.

Has anyone alredy done this?
