In all likelihood, this is due to your apache configuration. You're
probably accessing Nagios initially via a URL something like http://
short-hostname/nagios/ and are prompted to log in. Then the server
changes the URL to something like http://host-FQDN/nagios/ and
requires you to log in again. Either access Nagios via the FQDN of
your server, or change your apache config to make the short hostname
equivalent to the FQDN (I believe a ServerAlias will do the trick,
but can't remember for sure).
