Incidentally, the example given in the config file (where I got the 85 &
95%) is round the wrong way too :)

You have it backwards. You need to use the % available,
not the % used. So you want "-w 15% -c 5%".
Not sure about the other problems, but that's why
it says critical; you have less than 95% left on
your disk. 8^)
