We're using http://www.end2endmobile.com/ to send SMS via an automated
web interface (we programmed a custom nagios alert script to use this
interface). After some difficulties in the beginning, it's working
flawless since a few years now (and it's fast, we only had a problem
with late SMS with a single phone provider once).

If their web interface of them isn't reachable, we're getting an email
from the alert script (better than nothing and this didn't happen till
now).  Maybe we'll improve this later on to use our phone providers
email2sms gateways, just to be sure.
