contacts.cfg - Templates?

Hello,
I noticed there is no "use" directive in contacts.cfg. Is there a
specific reason that templates are not able to be used in contacts.cfg?
My contacts is set up like this:
--- TEMPLATES START ----
<define params for 'contact-template-all'>
<use 'contact-template-all', add params for 'contact-template-email'>
<use 'contact-template-all', add params for 'contact-template-pager'>
<use 'contact-template-all', add params for 'contact-template-both'>
--- TEMPLATES END ---
<contact definition, use 'contact-template-email'>
<contact definition, use 'contact-template-pager'>
<contact definition, use 'contact-template-both'>
I hope that made sense, I can include the actual contacts.cfg stuff here
if it didn't make sense to people.
If there really is no templating available in contacts.cfg, can this be
a feature added to 3.x? I'm sure it couldn't be that hard to implement,
since Nagios overall supports (and encourages) templating!

There isn't much difference between Linux and Unix.
Just think of Linux as Unix, written by 1,000 monkeys who have never seen Unix before.
