Subject: [Nagios-users] snmptrap notifications
I know this isn't necessarily the best place to post this, but
nagios-users is the only list I'm on, and this has got to be 10 times
more interesting than "I ran 'nagios -v' and it don't work!", so here
goes...
Has anyone here ever used snmptrap to send notifications from nagios?
Anyone have any tips on doing such a thing? Such as, which OID(s)
should I use to send a custom trap containing standard nagios
notification information? Am I going to have to define my own MIB?
Nagiosexchange is void of such a thing as far as I can tell...
I'm completely capable of reading pertinent documentation, as well, if
someone can point me to something relevant. I've been unable to google
my way to enlightenment thus far.
Flame on.
