One more try on Debian Etch ***SOLVED***

This was exactly what was needed. During research on how to install
Net::SNMP from CPAN, I found the following in the Nagios FAQ:
http://nagios.manubulon.com/faq.html#FAQ2 and it describes how to
install the needed modules. After installing the Net::SNMP, I recompiled
the source code Nagios-Plugins and the check_snmp is there now.
Thanks to all for your assistance and input.

Ubuntu is based on debian, and I was able to compile net-snmp from
source successfully on the server that I have Nagios running on. And
actually, you can get it from CPAN I believe by typing
Install Net::SNMP
>From within CPAN itself. I believe that is how I got my snmp up and
running correctly.
Just my $0.02, hth

Search for "snmp" with apt. I have no idea how to do that, only that
it's
possible. You shouldn't be getting all that many hits.
