It most probably not Nagios that you should configure rather than your
SMTP server (Sendmail, postifx,...)
You should change it so that it masquerades your "server.domain.internal"
domain into a legit one. It's quite simple you should find all the info
needed on the Net.
Or maybe you might also change your DNS so that "server.domain.internal"
becomes legit'. (But then you will also probably have to configure your
SMTP server(s) to accept e-mail for the "server.domain.internal"
domain...)
Cheers,

[Nagios-users] Verizon & Text Messages
Verizon Wireless has now gotten more restrictive with text messages via
email. Our Nagios server sends text messages to 5554443333 at vtext.com ,
from nagios at server.domain.internal (the box's hostname does not resolve
from the Internet). Starting last night, Verizon is now bouncing the
mail, saying:
553 #5.1.8 Domain of sender address <*********> does not exist (MTA,
Unknown, with IP address, X.X.X.X).
Does anyone know of a way to get Nagios to use a different From address
(ie, a legit one)?
Thanks,
--Brian
