More getting started problems

   In starting nagios on SuSE Linux 11.0, I get the following message:

Checking misc settings...
        Error: Unable to write to check_result_path 
('/var/lib/nagios/spool/checkresults') - No such file or directory

First:
drwxr-xr-x 3 nagios     nagios      104 2008-08-26 12:44 nagios

Next:
drwxr-xr-x 2 nagios nagios   48 2008-08-26 12:44 spool

Lastly:
/var/lib/nagios/spool does not have a checkresults file.

   Do I need to create this file and if so how?
