Dear List
I am using Nagios 3.0.2 to monitor my network devices.I use check_snmp
command to check for any interface ( ifoperstatus) on my network device
goes down .Whenever the port returns a state other than 1 , i get a critical
alert meaning the operational status is critical.
Now I have a L2VPN link connected to one port. The ethernet interface always
shows up even when the link goes down. Is there any way to get alert other
than check_ping where i check the other end by just pinging.
Let me know incase someone is using some plugin to check these type of
links.
Appreciate help !!
reagrds
Michael
